Louise Howlett, originally from England, studied classical singing at the Royal College of Music in London with Margaret Cable. As a member of the National Youth Music Theatre, Louise performed at the international Bergen Festival and Edinburgh Main and Fringe Festivals, as well as award winning London theatre and TV productions.
Louise's love for all styles of music drove her to create her own unique combination of classical, Broadway and jazz programmes with pianist Albert Combrink in venues as varied as Kirstenbosch Gardens, Baxter Concert Hall and the Big Blues Festival. She wears a number of hats - not only vocally but also in her support of live music in Cape Town. She is also the General Manager of the Cape Town Concert Series, Presenter of Midweek Sessions at the Church on Greenmarket Square and presents 'For the Love of Opera' on Fine Music Radio.
